Avalon Interior Praised as One of 2013's Best

We already know how beautiful the newly redesigned Avalon is, both inside and out. And others are starting to take notice as well.

The Avalon's interior was honored this week by Ward's Auto as on of 2013's 10 best. As Toyota continues to make a place for itself in the full-size sedan market while still appealing to a younger driver, Ward's described Avalon as "the most luxurious non-luxury car tested in the competition." The only other full-size sedan to make the list was the Cadillac XTS.

Ward's praised Avalon's exterior for its "impeccable build quality" as well as its advanced technological features and rich materials. Ward's was also impressed with the depth of Avalon's tiered, "seemingly floating" instrument panel and its glowing center cup holders.

Leave it to people who use words for a living to come up with great new ways to praise Toyota's quality and luxury. Don't hesitate to share such singing praise with potential buyers of all ages.

Toyota Hybrid Sales Hit 5 Million Mark Worldwide

The hybrid revolution began in July of 2000, with Toyota leading the way with the Prius. And now, thirteen years later, Prius is still in the forefront of automotive and environmental technology.

Toyota announced this weeek that it has now sold 5 million hybrids worldwide, with 2 million of those being sold in the U.S. alone. Besides saving drivers money to the tune of about 3 billion gallons of gas, hybrids have also helped the auto industry shrink its carbon footprint by keeping about 34 million tons of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

Toyota, the leader in hybrid technology, is not slowing down when it comes to its commitment to this technology. Since that first Prius hit the streets 13 years ago, Toyota has put 18 more hybrid models on the road, with another 18 planned for rollout by 2015.

Over the next few days, Toyota will be celebrating this amazing milestone on the Toyota USA and Prius Facebook pages, as well as on our muticultural Facebook pages, Twiitter, Instagram and Google+. All of the company's social media channels will feature a new "5 Million" cover image, a post and video thanking hybrid owners for their support, and posts over the next five days that will highlight key moments in the history of Toyota's hybrid cars.

In addition, a commemorative Toyota Hybrid Nation badge will be made available to both hybrid owners and sales associates. This is just the beginning of an extensive campaign, so be sure to stay in touch with all of Toyota's social channels over the next few days to see everything that's happening.
